It was October 18, 1987 that Bob Lyne attacked me with a .45 Colt Gold Cup semi-automatic pistol. Lyne was legally drunk and angry over having two cars re-possessed as creditors were searching for a third he was hiding. Texas allowed debtors to shoot at automobile repo men. Perhaps that Lyne believed that was the law in Arizona. I was there merely to serve an eviction summons and was not after his cars. Lyne first tried to cut my tires in the darkness then he stalked me in the darkness. Although Lyne suffered five gunshot wounds he never fell or dropped his gun. His wounds however prevented him from shooting me. Lyne and his family returned to Houston Texas after the shooting.
